Sculpture Course

  • Wendi Xie (b.1989) lives and works in Shenzhen, China.

    Wendi received a Master of Arts Degree from the Royal College of Art, London in 2012, and Bachelor of Arts Degree from China Academy of Art, Hangzhou in 2010. She specialises in glass in combination with other techniques and materials. Her work has been exhibited worldwide in China, the UK, Czech Republic, Germany, the US, and Norway.

Chinese sculptor and glass artist Wendi Xie draws inspiration from unexpected sources like bubbling boiled water or the swiftly moving hands of workers reeling silk from cocoons. She will teach us how to make funny sculptures with the help of balloons.
