Poker face/ Grimace mask-making

was born in 1982 in Shanghai, working and living in Shanghai. He works in the fields of painting, comics and sculpture. Xiao Longhua's work focuses on exploring the interactions and possibilities of new creations between materials based on their raw shapes, textures, colours and their nature, and seizing upon the impromptu relations and narrativity through them.

Let’s make a mask with objects that are “liberated”.

Start from observing these retired objects, reading their stories from the trace of being used, their “expression”, let’s combine them, their different characteristics and appearances, and make a special mask use for ourselves.

(The artist will bring some special parts or tools from China, but most objects will be collect local in Bergen.)
