Imperfect Gravity is a cardgame that is neither about winning or losing. The game consists of 50 cards with original illustrations, these 50 cards are then divided into 12 decks of 4 cards, and 1 deck with 2 cards. Each deck is assigned a symbol. Together these symbols form a fictive vessel that is used to play a game similar to crazy eights, hanafuda, and the divination game, tarot.
Before playing, we will familiarize ourselves with the symbols in the game and their meanings. We will look at the images, digest the words, and connect them to a chain of previous experiences - to get the imagination going - as a form of warm up before the game begins.
Finding inspiration from places of worship and the act of playing board- and card games, the aim of this game has been to create a room for reflection and curiosity, and to ask questions about how the symbols in our life help shape our personal systems of beliefs.

About Unn
Unn Devik has held exhibitions at Nonneseter Kapell: Bergen (NO), Nye Bokboden: Bergen (NO), Kunstgarasjen: Bergen (NO), and Test Space, Spike Island: Bristol(UK), and been part of group exhibitions at Tegnerforbundet: Oslo, Standard (Oslo):Oslo (NO), Bergen Kunsthall: Bergen (NO), and PADA studios: Barreiro (PT). Devik works mainly with drawing, painting, and independent book making.
About Haruka
After completing her MA in Fine Arts at the University of Bergem, Haruka Fukao went on to complete an MA in visual anthropology at Tromsø University. The films she made during her studies has been shown in at several ethnographic film festivals internationally. Apart from her studies and work as a Japanese tutor, Fukao has also done artistic research for the artist collective Keiken.
