Create your own mini light sculpture

€8.00

<O> is inspired by Isamu Noguchi’s Akari light sculptures, which combine Japanese craftsmanship with modernist design. Maria Helena K. Nerhus uses her self-developed biomaterial in place of rice paper, and steel wire instead of bamboo. The biomaterial, made from plants, flowers, and fruit peels, is cooked into a liquid compost, cast into moulds, and dried into a snakeskin-like material.

Create your own mini light sculpture using self-produced biomaterial and steel wire.
The light sculptures will be part of the presentation on 24 January 2026 and may be taken home from 25 January 2026 onwards. Two evening workshops, Four places each.
