In Taiwan, the kitchen is never just a place to prepare food; it’s a social arena of human connection. Opening April 11, Taipei Art Book Fair presents “Chaos Kitchen”, bringing 27 Taiwanese artists into this frantic scene of "firing up, prepping, and serving." Teaming up with London-based Taiwanese spatial designer Nish Ho, we are transforming Northing Space with Taiwan’s street-level "Provisional Aesthetics"——blue-and-white tarps, neon flickers, and red plastic stools—into Norway's Northing Space through a creative transformation.

Here, marginalized narratives—including subcultures and LGBTQ+ identities once hidden in the private "Tsàu-kha" (kitchen)—are pushed boldly into the public eye. Amidst the friction of the crowd and the chaos of "table-sharing," these creators carve out their own expressive space.

Just like kitchen aromas, free thought and diverse identities cannot be contained by walls. This is not an elegant banquet; it is a raw, vibrant dialogue on survival, identity, and communication. Bergen, are you ready to take a seat?
